Use Case

AR Building Plot Visualization

Using Augmented Reality (AR), planned buildings are projected in life-size directly onto the empty plot of land via a smartphone or tablet.

AR Building Plot Visualization

This AR solution bridges the gap between abstract blueprints and the real world. Architects, investors, or private builders simply stand on the undeveloped plot and see live on their tablet display how the planned building fits into the existing neighborhood. You can physically walk around the virtual house, check the orientation of the terraces, and assess the appearance of the facade in real sunlight. The application uses the GPS and depth sensors of modern devices (ARKit/ARCore) to anchor the 3D model with millimeter precision and stability in the environment, creating an incredible "wow" effect.

Application Areas:

  • Construction companies (convincing on-site client presentations)
  • City planning & authorities (advance checking of lines of sight and shadow casting)
  • Prefabricated house manufacturers (customers can "test drive" their house on their plot)

Benefits

Why this use case?

Planning Reliability

Planning errors, unwanted visual effects, or space issues on the plot become visible immediately—before a single excavator arrives.

Strong Emotional Connection

The ability to see one's own future home "standing" on an empty piece of land in real size generates enormous enthusiasm and a willingness to buy among builders.

Simplified Approval Procedures

Neighbors or building authorities can visually grasp complex projects much better, which objectifies discussions and drastically accelerates approval processes.
