The Challenge
The goal was to showcase the innovative strength of Austrian companies on the world stage. Five key themes were to be not only presented but actively communicated through interactive, hands-on stations. Each station required a unique game concept and customized controls. Simultaneously, a system had to be developed that digitally represented Austrian company contributions, was flexibly manageable, and projected a strong image in an international context. The installation had to be technically robust and function flawlessly on-site in Japan.
Our Solution
Together with [ZONE Media](https://www.zonemedia.at/) We developed five playfully designed experiences, each bringing a key technological focus to life: Visitors could steer a bee around the globe with a real steering wheel, find matching technologies in a touch-based memory game, guide a ball through a labyrinth using a wobbly board, or steer a digital balloon through an obstacle course. Each of these stations used specially adapted fidget controllers, enabling kinesthetic and intuitive control. The highlight: After successfully completing the game, visitors could discover innovation projects from Austria, which had been selected through a submission system and thematically assigned to the respective stations. The entire solution was developed and tested in Austria beforehand and then personally installed and maintained by us on-site in Osaka – a project that thrilled us not only technically, but also emotionally.
